WASHINGTON, D.C.: The United States and India are advancing talks on a wide-ranging trade agreement that would cover 19 key areas, including agriculture, digital trade, and data regulations, Bloomberg News reported this week, citing people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, the terms of reference for the proposed deal were finalized this week, laying the groundwork for discussions that span both goods and services.
The agreement's focal points include expanded market access for U.S. farm products, regulations around e-commerce, data storage policies, and cooperation on critical minerals.
